DROP CASE MACHINES
A Drop Case machine is one in which the coin itself is used as the projectile, rather than the more usual ball bearing. Because of this, Drop Case machines usually have very simple mechanisms compared to normal types of games.

The Smithy. A coin inserted into the slot fell onto the anvil. The player's task was to hit the coin with the hammer, so that it flew into the forge on the right-hand side. If successful, the coin would be delivered back to the player. | The Cascade, by Bell Fruit. Coins are triggered across the top of the playfield, with the hope of getting them into one of the four "Win" holes. Successful coins will release one or more of the column of coins in the bottom half of the machine. Unsuccessful coins will end up in one of the columns. |

This is a Drop Case version of the Multiple-Column Allwin. Here, coins are stacked up in columns, the idea being to fill up one of the columns, which is then released into the payout chute. |
